Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure infrastructure services, networking, security, automation, and cloud migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Administer and maintain Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Monitor Azure environments to ensure high availability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions using Azure-native services.
  • Manage identity and access control using Azure Active Directory and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Support migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to Microsoft Azure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure infrastructure, networking, connectivity, and security-related issues.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Implement and maintain cloud governance, security policies, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

& Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and administration.
  • Good understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with: o Azure Virtual Machines o Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, Load Balancer, Application Gateway) o Azure Storage Accounts o Azure Active Directory o Azure Monitor and Log Analytics o Azure Backup and Site Recovery
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
  • Experience in cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Nice to Have

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certification.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, security, and governance best practices.
  • Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments.
